Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated · 14 May 2026
Unbinder is an independent, self-funded project. To keep the lights on without selling user data, we use affiliate links on a subset of the marketplace links shown in the app and on this site.
What an affiliate link is
When you tap a vendor link (e.g. “buy on eBay”) the URL is wrapped with a tracking identifier that tells the marketplace Unbinder sent you. If you buy something within a short window, Unbinder earns a small commission. The price you pay does not change.
Programs we participate in
- eBay Partner Network. Listing pages, card lookups and grading-service searches that resolve to ebay.com / ebay.co.uk / ebay.de / ebay.nl etc.
- Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate, Unbinder earns from qualifying purchases on sealed product (Elite Trainer Boxes, booster bundles, etc.) routed through amazon.com / amazon.de / amazon.nl and other regional storefronts.
- TCGplayer Affiliate. Single-card lookups that resolve to tcgplayer.com.
- Cardmarket Partner. EU-focused single-card lookups that resolve to cardmarket.com.
Independence
Affiliate revenue never influences which card we surface, which price we display, or how we rank vendors. Cards are matched by visual ID + catalogue lookup; prices are aggregated from PokeTrace, tcgcsv and Cardmarket; vendor ranking is fixed and identical for every user.
Every affiliate-wrapped link is also disclosed at the point of the tap inside the app (a small “affiliate” tag next to the vendor button).
Opting out
Affiliate IDs sit in the URL only. They never send personal data upstream. If you'd prefer an unwrapped link, you can navigate to the marketplace directly — the search query is shown in the app before you tap.
